For the Thermal combustion department we are looking for interns! The following internships / graduation assignments are available. Design new flue gas condenser: Suitable for BSc and MSc in Chemical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Sustainable Energy; HoSt Thermal technology B.V. realises biomass fired power plants in which fuel is converted into renewable energy via combustion. A flue gas condenser, located downstream a boiler, can increase the overall efficiency of the plant by extracting additional condensation heat from the flue gas. The heat will be transferred to a low temperature cooling circuit. HoSt has several flue gas condensers in own operation and has knowledge and experience with them. The objective of this assignment is to continue/improve the design of the flue gas condenser and its auxiliary equipment in order to be ready to instal a complete system at new plants.
