FTE: 1.0_, Shift: Nights_, Schedule: 9:00pm-5:30am Monday-Friday Position Summary: The Histology Technician is responsible for preparing tissue specimens for examination by the Pathologist, cutting and staining tissue sections, filing slides and blocks, preparing and maintaining solutions and reagents used, ordering supplies, and instructing employees and students. This is a technical position. Work situations are routine and require a service-oriented individual, precision, concentration, and attention to detail, analysis, interpretation of information, and the use of discretion and good judgement in decision-making.
