As the Underwriting Associate on our Equine team, you will provide Risk analysis, examination, and entry level underwriting and underwriting support Key Accountabilities/Deliverables: With the guidance, instruction and oversight of underwriting management provide brokers competent & timely service, maintain accurate policy files and data management. Assess & rate equine risks, utilizing accurate pricing and established underwriting guidelines. Participate and contribute with special projects. Offer administrative support to the underwriting team as needed. Technical Knowledge and Understanding: Computer and administrative skills – general working knowledge of MS Office Experience: · College degree preferred · Previous experience in Equine, Livestock, or Farm insurance preferred · Hands on Equine/Equine Farm experience · Strong emphasis on customer service and relationship building · Possess strong written and verbal communication skills · Reliable team player · Ability to effectively manage time, meet deadlines and prioritize projects · Successful completion of insurance courses or industry designations Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unabl...
