Job description

QUALIFICATIONS: - Demonstration of understanding of decontamination, high level disinfection and sterilization principles required. - A minimum of 1 yr experience in endoscopic scope processing and endoscopic procedural assistance required. - Minimum of 2 years experience in central sterile processing functions and operation of sterile processing equipment (ultrasonic washer, washer/disinfector, Sterrad, autoclave) preferred. - Constant and frequent judgment and response required. - English language skills and communication required. - SPD certification required or in progress. - High School Diploma or equivalent. - Current Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) at time of hire. RESPONSIBILITES: - Category I exposure to bloodborne pathogens, frequent exposure to chemical hazards and may encounter radiation hazards. - Sets up and Assists physician during performance of the endoscopic procedure. - Attends to the cleaning, high level disinfection, and maintenance of endoscopes and related equipment. - Preforms required quality assurance testing per manufacturer instructions and maintains accurate documentation logs. - Confirms completion of endoscope processing prior to use of scop...
