Description The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine at the University of Washington, in Seattle, has an outstanding opportunity for a full-time academic orthopaedic spine surgeon. This position will be based at the University of Washington Medical Center – the Montlake and Northwest Hospital Campuses. Responsibilities may include medical student, resident and fellow education. Additionally, the successful candidate is expected to develop a busy clinical practice and a robust program in clinical, educational methodologies, or basic science research. The successful candidate will be expected to develop a record of professionalism, academic accomplishments, and excellent clinical skills encompassing a broad spectrum of spine surgery. The appointment will be made at the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor rank, depending upon qualifications, all without tenure (WOT). The majority of School of Medicine faculty hired in the professorial track are hired under the WOT designation.
