Are you the kind of person who knows how to do their homework but can win over a room when it’s time to shine? We’re looking for an organized and outgoing Business Development Manager to join the Hotel Le Germain Calgary, and to take charge of business travel sales development. With strong analytical abilities and sales skills, this resourceful and personable individual will develop creative strategies and deploy sales tactics, lead prospecting and negotiations, and participate in a range of efforts tied to the organization’s success. WHAT YOU’D DO: - Draft and negotiate proposals for business travel - Manage account performance and develop accounts with potential - Canvass through prospecting, calls for tender, events, and sales blitzes - Analyze reports, trends, and current knowledge - Develop tactics that maximize occupancy and revenue for both guest rooms as well as event spaces - Collect information on the market and the competition - Evaluate and implement long-term strategies and objectives - Collaborate as part of our national Business Development team - Represent Germain Hôtels at trade fairs and during sales campaigns WHAT YOU'LL BRING: - Solid sales skills and thorough k...
