Potomac is looking to fill this vacancy starting with the 2026-27 academic year. This position is responsible for teaching Science curriculum to students in grades 7-8, as well as advising a group of Intermediate School students. Duties & Responsibilities: Manage a course load including four classes and an advisory. Plan, prepare, and deliver lesson plans and instruction in a manner that facilitates active, student-centered learning using various teaching methods. Teach using a variety of resources while emphasizing an inquiry-based approach that allows the students to discover and develop their talent as scientists as they investigate the natural world. Work with students to encourage and facilitate each individual’s growth. Collaborate actively with science department colleagues, including on curriculum and course planning.
