Job description

JOB SUMMARY: The Meter Technician performs clerical and field installation work. The employee must communicate with customers relating to all residential and commercial service in a polite manner and complete other projects assigned by the supervisor. QUALIFICATIONS: Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED required. Special Requirements: Must possess and maintain a valid class "C" Texas Driver's License or higher. Must have a clean driver's record through D.O.T. Must be able to withstand outdoor (i.e., cold, hot, humid, rainy) working conditions. Must be able to obtain a Class D water license within one year of employment or may be released from the City of Conroe. Must arrive to work on time daily and be able to work fluctuating after hours, weekends and holidays. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: - Knowledge of the use of basic operational tools. - Skill in safely driving and operating a pickup truck. - Ability to carry and load equipment weighing up to 70 pounds a distance of 15 to 200 feet and placing in truck bed. - Ability to use a wrench or shovel with ability to hold and tighten meter at same time. - Ability to lift, bend and carry objects at distance of 15 to 1...
