Summary: Facilitates the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures in the cardiovascular operating room. *** 0600 - 1630 including weekends *** Responsibilities: Assists Physician with appropriate instruments during surgery. Assures accountability for proper counts of instruments and supplies during surgery. Maintains sterile environment according to MHS policy.Assists with preparing, positioning and draping patients.Provides age and developmental appropriate care to patient population served.Travels outside the OR suite to assist with placing patients on ECMO or other mechanical assist device.Prepares surgical operating suite with drapes, solutions, instruments, equipment and supplies. Ensures good working order of equipment and instruments by collaborating with SPD in inspecting and maintaining surgical instruments both pre- and post-procedure ensuring their integrity and readiness for use.Demonstrates accura...
