Description Position Overview: The Marsh General Laborer will contribute on marshes by completing day to day tasks generated by the marsh managers and owners. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: - Assist with all applications on marshes including herbicide, insecticide, fungicide, and fertilizer - Help with boom/tractor maintenance and repair - Assist with irrigation and irrigation maintenance - Be a part of frost watch during spring-summer months - Maintain daily communication between crew and marsh manager on daily tasks - Be an active member of the harvest crew - Work on on-going projects during down time and winter months - Contribute to sanding season during winter months - Weld/fabricate when needed - Be involved in detailed record keeping for all Gardner Properties (or property) - Attend certain schoolings/trainings when needed - Other tasks assigned by management Requirements: Desired Skills/Abilities: - Farming and mechanical experience preferred - Maintenance experience preferred - WPS training and Pesticide Applicator Training preferred - Motivated - Self-driven - Love for the outdoors
