Schwarze Industries (member of the Alamo Group Inc.) is currently accepting applications to fill the position of Welder at its Huntsville, AL facility. Qualifications: FUNCTION/POSITION DESCRIPTION: Under general supervision, fits and welds fabricated steel frames and/or metal parts on production floor using MIG welding equipment. Measures and marks locations for metal components on assembly table following blueprints. Verifies position of metal components in assembly using straight edge, combination square and rule. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES: Sets-up work; adjusts and uses torch and plasma cutter and/or grinder properly in sta ndard/non-standard positions following Engineering drawings/blueprints. Fit, tack and weld complete assemblies or fit and tack designated spots to secure work pieces for other welders. May use basic hand tools, such as tape measure, square, clamps, etc., to verify proper weld application and quality of weldments.
