Job description
The Vehicle Development Technician - Electrical is responsible for diagnosing vehicle mechanical and electrical problems, repairing and rebuilding equipment and replacing electrical components on vehicles and equipment. In addition, the Technician is responsible for attaching test equipment and instrumentation to road test vehicles and driving the vehicles under usual and routine conditions. Responsibilities also include bench fabrication of vehicle wire harnesses and overlays as well as in-vehicle wiring modifications, testing set up and execution for electrical component development and validation, high voltage battery performance, and vehicle system validation as well as assisting development and validation engineers with troubleshooting and resolving electrical issues at the component and system levels. Qualifications: Basic Qualifications: - Associates degree such as Auto Mechanics or similar discipline - A minimum of 3 years' experience as mechanic - Must have a valid driver's license (no more than 2 points on driving record, no more than one at fault accident with the last two years and no DUI or DWI's) - Working knowledge of electrical / electronic systems and measurement e...
