Science Systems and Applications, Inc. (SSAI) seeking a Chief Computer Scientist. The successful candidate will provide support in developing AI-based technologies related to Earth Systems modeling and advancing the TerraHydro Digital Twin platform. This includes, but is not limited to, systems engineering, development of Python-based tools and software solutions, and maintenance and operation of the live system. Primary Responsibilities: To oversee and work as part of a team of data and computer scientist developing an AI-based terrestrial Digital Twin: - Development of the TerraHydro Python-based Digital Twin framework, models, and live system. - Contribute insight into software design and implement and develop new features. - Explore new algorithms and methodologies for data driven hydrometeorology including but not limited to coupling strategies, data assimilation, and time-series modeling. - Present and publish when appropriate at international conferences and high-impact scientific journals.
