The Practical Nursing Instructor is a Nights and Weekend faculty position at the Southaven Campus for the Practical Nursing Program. The Instructor provides students with instruction of the highest standards, evaluate student progress, assist in preparation of program documents and policies, assist in activities furthering the work of the institution, communicate necessary information to students, provide academic advice to students, serve on standing and ad hoc committees, and assist in maintaining the uniformity of the Practical Nursing program on all campuses. This is a 12-month faculty position reporting to the Director of Practical Nursing. Qualifications: Must be a graduate of an approved School of Nursing. Must have an unencumbered RN license in Mississippi and must: - Hold a minimum of an Associate's Degree in Nursing. - Have three years clinical experience working as a RN; or have two years' experience as faculty in a nursing/allied health program. - Satisfy clinical agency requirements, i.e.: background checks, immunizations, CPR, etc. Duties and Responsibilities: - Maintain health care specific requirements such as CPR certification, TB skin tests, and criminal backgroun...
