We are looking for the best candidates for the position of Category Buyer (raw materials) for a pharmaceutical company based in Barcelona. Purpose of job: This role has been introduced in the context of the increased importance of procurement role within the End-to-End sourcing process for Raw materials and our way of collaboration with our suppliers. This professional will spearhead raw material strategic sourcing efforts, driving seamless collaboration with preferred partners to have the right cost base and to accelerate product development. Responsibilities: Be the global expert in the spend categories within scope of responsibility related to Raw materials Strategy definition: Category management definition and implementation. Data analysis, market analysis, spend analysis and budget monitoring. Stay up to date on market trends and new regulations in the pharmaceutical industry and ensure selected suppliers comply with required quality standards and current regulations Search, analyse, evaluate, and select suppliers for new R&D projects.
