Position: Adjunct Faculty, Political Science Department: Academic Affairs: Type of Position: Adjunct Faculty: Exemption Status: Exempt: Work Schedule, Hours per week: Varies depending on department needs Starting Salary Range: AJCR $1,208-$1,344 per credit hour and in accordance with the adjunct table and determined based on relevant years of work experience provided on application and resume. Position Summary: JCCC is looking for a qualified pool of applicants for a part-time political science faculty position who will begin teaching Spring 2027 (with potential for earlier). The ideal candidate is expected to teach American National Government and Introduction to Political Science and some combination of the following: Comparative Government, Political Theory, and other courses as needed. Course descriptions can be found in JCCC’s course catalog. In addition to teaching, the individual hired is expected to perform other duties as assigned.
