Job Summary/Basic Function: The Transfer Admissions Counselor is responsible for coordinating and implementing transfer student recruitment strategies, enrollment initiatives, and partnerships designed to increase undergraduate transfer enrollment and support student success. This role serves as a front-line representative of Boise State, providing direct support to prospective transfer students and their families. It requires a strong understanding of university programs, services, and policies, along with a positive approach and a clear commitment to higher education. Responsibilities include responding to information requests, offering individualized advising, explaining admissions policies, and leading presentations for visiting students and families. The role includes some travel to community colleges, transfer fairs, and key recruitment areas. Providing timely, accurate, and supportive customer service to students, families, and community college staff is essential.
