General Labourer

Job description

As a General Labourer, you will remove unwanted materials from metal parts, castings, and other products, ensuring a smooth surface and preparing parts for paint and assembly. These parts are used in the assembly of equipment that is dedicated to the rugged and challenging terrain of the forestry industry. Location: 95 Washburn Drive, Kitchener, ON Dedicated Day Shift: 7:00am - 3:30pm, Monday – Friday Job Duties: - Read and interpret work orders, following the production schedule to ensure parts are prepared for paint or assembly in the order in which they are needed - Clean, sand, and prepare parts for painting and assembly - Operate metal cleaning equipment, such as scrapers and grinders, to remove excess welds, scale, and machining oils, to prepare the surface of metal parts, castings, and other metal products - Immerse metal products in cleaning solvents/solutions - Operate lifting devices such as cranes (overhead and/or jib) to transport raw materials and finished metal products - Train over time to complete small sub-assemblies - Keep work area clean and tidy Skills and Experience: - Adapt to a changing work environment, competing demands and able to deal with frequent change...
