Overview: Fulltime, benefits eligible role Mon-Fri Job Description Summary: Schedules numerous clinic outpatient appointments, obtains accurate demographic, insurance, and physician information, and pre-registers outpatients in a timely and accurate manner. Job Description: Essential Functions: - Schedules patients for designated outpatient services and coordinates changes in appointments through canceling or re-scheduling. - Works referral lists and contacts patients for appointments. Collaborates and communicates with departments and physicians whose services are scheduled. - Interviews and registers designated patients in the computer system. Pre-registers patients scheduled for less than 30 days in the future. - Obtains accurate demographics, insurances, and physician information during registration. - Screens registrations and customer data to ensure insurance eligibility and pre-certification and that physician referral requirements are met. - Assists in identifying self-pay patients and refers them to financial assistance, instructing on requirements. - Assists in the training and development of new employees.
