Position Title: Registrar II - OU Medical Center - Emergency Department, Monday - Friday 7a-3:30p Department: Admitting Job Description: The Registrar II is responsible for timely and accurate patient registration by interviewing patients to obtain all pertinent account information and verify insurance coverage. This role also has responsibilities in handling complex registrations, insurance verifications, and patient concerns. The Registrar II supports department operations and assists in training new staff. Essential Responsibilities: Responsibilities listed in this section are core to the position. Interview patients at workstation or bedside to obtain necessary account information. Ensure charts are completed and accurate. Verify insurance and obtain pre-certification/authorization.
