GENERAL LEDGER Accountant

Job description

Goettl is a long-standing, multi-state residential HVAC and plumbing company. We’re looking for an experienced General Ledger Accountant who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, in-office environment and knows how to keep multi-location accounting clean and accurate. This is a 100% in-office role . Pay is DOE: The range for this position is between 65K and 75K. What You’ll Do: Prepare journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations Handle monthly balance sheet reconciliations and support the close process Ensure GAAP compliance across a multi-state operation Review financial results and respond to audit requests Support local, state, and federal reporting and tax requirements Partner with the Accounting Manager on daily accounting work and special projects Help improve and scale accounting processes as the company grows Meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail What We’re Looking For: Experience as a GL Accountant or Staff Accountant SAGE EXPERIENCE would be helpful, but not required Background in home services, construction, trades, or similar industries nice to have Strong knowledge of GAAP: Advanced Excel skills (formulas, pivots...
