DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?: The ideal candidate will lead refractory usage and organization of refractory operations for the Steelmaking team, including providing guidance and feedback to refractory operators to meet the business goals of ArcelorMittal Calvert. The Basics: - High school diploma or GED - Minimum of 3 years of refractory experience in a steelmaking factory required - Strong decision-making, analytical, and problem-solving skills - Intermediate Computer skills to include SAP and Microsoft Office - In depth knowledge of steelmaking refractory and concrete material - Extensive knowledge of steelmaking refractory works and gunning operations - Strong decision-making, analytical, and problem-solving skills - Excellent communications skills working with professionals, operations/maintenance personnel, and construction trades The Extras: - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Management, or similar field preferred - 6+ years of refractory experience - Technical knowledge of Caster, Melt Shop, Ladle Metallurgy Facility (LMF), and/or RH desired TRAITS TO BE SUCCESSFUL: - Holds self and others accountable to meet commitments - Makes good and timely decisions that keep t...
