Description Under the supervision of the Administrator, the Director of Nursing oversees the overall operations of the Nursing Department in accordance with company policies, standards of nursing practice, and applicable government regulations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality resident care in an efficient and effective manner. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Collaborates with the Administrator, consultants, and facility staff to plan, coordinate, and oversee all aspects of nursing services, including interdisciplinary integration. - Establishes priorities and job assignments; monitors departmental activities; communicates policies; evaluates performance; provides feedback; and coaches, counsels, redirects, and disciplines staff as necessary. - Maintains departmental records, manages budgets and supplies, and functions as the senior department head. - Ensures that all equipment and work areas are clean, safe, and orderly, and that hazardous conditions are promptly addressed. - Enforces compliance with universal precautions, infection control, isolation procedures, fire safety, and sanitation standards. - Conducts regular rounds to monitor resident activity; assesses r...
