Description Teller County's Community Development Department in Woodland Park is seeking a Permit Technician who will be responsible for building permit administration and administrative support to Planning, Road & Bridges and Environmental Health Departments. What You'll Do: Serve as the first point of contact in person and via phone for customer service on construction and environmental projects. Provides information and assistance to customers regarding permits, contractor licensing, permit fees, codes, requirements and regulations. Review permit applications for completeness. Input data daily to ensure proper records of changes. Track/update permit process including coordinating segments in which other Departments/Offices are involved. Perform administrative tasks such as preparing correspondence, answering telephones, copying, emailing, collecting fees, record keeping, file maintenance, and preparing packets for board meetings and hearings. Receive and forward code enforcement issues to the appropriate personnel. Track the progress of permits, applications, and inspections electronically.
