Job Description OVERVIEW: AtkinsRéalis is seeking a _ Coastal Engineering Intern _ to join our _ Melbourne, FL _ office. YOUR ROLE: - Support day-to-day project organization across multiple concurrent coastal engineering projects, helping track action items, maintain files, and keep project materials up to date. - Provide construction oversight support through site visits and shadowing engineering staff on beach nourishment, dredging, and shoreline restoration projects (observation and learning-focused). - Perform basic technical and administrative tasks using Microsoft Word, Excel, and other project tools; limited exposure to CAD and internal dashboards as appropriate. - Learn foundational concepts in coastal engineering practice by working closely with engineers and project managers, contributing draft-level support while gaining exposure to real-world project workflows. - Assist with project documentation including drafting meeting agendas, recording and organizing meeting minutes, and preparing draft technical memos and correspondence for internal review.
