Scheduled Hours 40 Position Summary: The Mass Spectrometry Technology Access Center (MTAC) at WashU in St. Louis has an opening available for highly motivated applicants for the position of Research Technician I. The MTAC is a newly created recharge facility within the McDonnell Genome Institute (MGI) serving regional, national, and worldwide researchers for their Mass spectrometry needs. This position assists with the technical aspects of wet-lab processes including documentation and preparation of mass spectrometry samples following well established Standard Operating Protocols (SOPs). The Research Technician I is responsible for the preparation of protein samples for proteomics analysis or extract metabolites/lipid for metabolomics applications. Job Description: Primary Duties & Responsibilities: Assists the investigator or higher-level technician with research studies, experiments and assays, including collection of data, preparation of solutions and setup and maintenance of equipment.
