Job description

Supplier Quality Engineer The Supplier Quality will be responsible for the quality of purchased items including new products, new processes and current system changes to regulatory requirements. Participates in supplier development activities and interacts with suppliers to implement corrective actions, improve control plans and eliminate defects. Provides analysis of data for informing and/or problem solving. You will do this by: - Implements quality system procedures and recommends improvements, interacts with team members to achieve daily and long term goals; ensures procedures are followed - Develops quality initiatives to attain and maintain customer satisfaction and focus. - Supports the suppliers on quality activities such as Control Plan, FMEA (failure mode & effects analysis), Process Capability Study, MSA (measurement system analysis), and Checklist, etc. - Provides technical expertise to purchasing function - Serves as liaison between the supplier and Briggs and Stratton in quality activities which may include presenting quality trend data for the purpose of informing and problem solving, working with the suppliers on corrective action reports and verifying its effective...
